What is SEAHO?
SEAHO stands for the Southeast Association of Housing Officers. It is a regional professional association that serves professionals who work in the field of college and university housing and residential life in the southeastern United States. SEAHO includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

How can I get involved in SEAHO?
- Membership: Become a member of SEAHO. Visit the SEAHO membership page to learn about the membership options and join the association. Departments can join, which makes all staff in that department a member, or you can join as an individual member.
- Attend Events: Participate in SEAHO conferences, workshops, and other events. These gatherings provide excellent opportunities to network with professionals in the field, learn from experts, and engage in discussions about relevant topics. The most well known event of SEAHO is its annual conference, typically taking place in the spring. SEAHO has also traditionally hosted a Regional Entry Level Institute (RELI) which helps current entry level staff in residence life prepare for mid-level roles.
- Volunteer: SEAHO relies on volunteers to assist with the planning and execution of their programs, events, and services. SEAHO has an executive board with both elected and appointed roles. There are also opportunities through committees, which are often more accessible and flexible opportunities which have varying time commitments.
