Roompact was established in 2013 as a family-owned business answerable only to its clients, not to any investors. We are the leading provider of software for residence life and residential education departments across the country. Roompact is also the only company in the space to focus exclusively on residence life and education. Because of this, we aim for sophistication and depth in our software solutions that no other company provides.

Roompact is relied upon by hundreds of thousands of users from around the United States every day. We partner with public and private institutions ranging in resident populations of 500 to 15,000+ students. We also work with schools with a diverse array of engagement and learning models and provide specialized tools for the unique needs of schools that utilize KCE and/or curricular models.

Roompact started and remains a family-owned business dedicated to doing right by its employees and the campuses we serve. We seek to develop long term collaborative relationships with our campus partners that improve the experience of students and the educators that work with them. Our mission is to empower the work of residence life staff members by providing modern and flexible software specifically designed for their everyday work.

Most universities and colleges have a Housing Management System (HMS) that handles the housing applications and assignment of residents on campus. Although an HMS helps with housing operations logistics, residence life and engagement is an afterthought, or an add-on, lacking in the robustness advanced residence life programs need.

Oftentimes, residence life departments rely on general tools that are purchased at a campus level. Student staff members will log interactions and notes in disparate places such as Microsoft 365, Google Forms, or Qualtrics. They may also use tools that are designed for the needs of different functional areas, such as solutions designed for student activities. This leads to scattered information that is difficult and time consuming to find or use. It creates inefficient processes that lead to more administrative work for staff members and missed opportunities for interventions with students. There are additional gaps in these solutions since they were not designed with the unique goals of residence life in mind. These tools are not purpose-built for residence life and education.
