Why are you excited to work at Roompact?

I think that the word “disrupter” is an overused term these days. But there are sometimes the occasional companies that really do offer something truly unique in its field that it does in fact deserve that description. I think Roompact is among that group.

Roompact is providing a solution that is long overdue in residence life and has been growing year after year. And the most exciting part is that they’re doing it the right way. It’s rare to see a company that truly cares and want to provide the best possible experience for their partners. I’ve had a chance to speak with our users and have witnessed the work that my team members put in to achieve this.

It’s been motivating for me and I’m really excited to be able to contribute to its future.

What do you love about working at Roompact?

Working with people who are driven and passionate about the work they do has been such a great experience so far. Everyone is able to play multiple roles and have done a fantastic job creating a culture of openness and support. As someone that’s relatively new to Roompact, it’s been great being able to continuously learn from every single member on the team.

What philosophy or values inform your work?

I think it’s important to be a continuous learner. I’ve found that being able to learn and take bits of knowledge from everyone has been crucial to making myself better not only work but just in life overall. Whether it’s about culture, habits, or work ethic, I believe that there’s something to be learned from everyone. And I hope that if given the opportunity, I can offer something that will help another team member as well.

What do you do for fun?  Any hobbies?

I’m a huge hockey fan. My friends got me into it a few years ago and I completely fell in love with the sport. Now, I might be the biggest hockey nerd out there. I love going on trips where I can go watch a game in a new city. I’ve been to five different arenas so far and hope to eventually see a home game for every NHL team some day.
