We hope your fall semester is moving along smoothly now that the rush of opening has subsided. While you’ve been busy with acclimating your students to a new academic year, we’ve been heading to conferences across the country and have relished the opportunity to meet with many of you. Thank you for your continued passion and advocacy.
Our biggest event was our first-ever Roompact User’s Conference. We had some amazing presenters from Roompact’s partner schools discuss high impact and innovative practices around the use of a number of features including roommate agreements, micro surveys, and forms. Many thanks to our presenters and those who participated. We also celebrated our 5 year anniversary with a social at the famed Merchandise Mart. If you were unable to make it to the conference we’re already making preparations for next year and hope to see you there!
NEW FEATURES
Lately our engineering wizards have been working on releasing the “Roompact REST API” which allows you to “get your data out” of the Roompact software and integrate it with other software systems. This API (Application Programming Interface) allows institutions to integrate with Roompact software platform and programmatically download Roompact data in JSON format. This data is suitable for use in a multitude of ways: report creation, archival, analysis, or import into other campus software systems. Use of this API will require campus IT resources to create an integration between Roompact and external systems. We’ll be releasing more information as it becomes available, but feel free to reach out to us to find out more.
TIPS FOR SUCCESS
The leaves are changing, the temperature is dropping, and pumpkin spice lattes are back! Now that we’re midway through the fall, it’s a great time to be checking in with your staff on how things are going with Roompact. Do they have a good grasp on functionality and how it integrates with your processes? Do they have questions, favorite features, or constructive criticism? Whether you’re a new Roompact school or a seasoned pro, it’s important to make sure that your staff are bought in and comfortable using your technology effectively. Feedback from our users also helps us determine future developments, so we’d love to hear your thoughts.
SEE YOU AT…
Roompact was once again proud to sponsor ACPA’s Institute on the Curricular Approach. This time in our hometown of Chicago. We also sponsored this year’s ACUHO-I Academic Initiatives Conference in Pittsburgh, PA. We had a great time learning and meeting many of you. In case you missed it, we’ve compiled some of the “best tweets” from both conferences (ACPA Recap; ACUHO-I Recap)
PS – Registration for the 2019 Institute on the Curricular Approach in Anaheim, CA is already open! Register and reserve your spot early to avoid the waiting list.
