In this RA360…

Roompact has a support portal designed specifically for student staff members. If you ever want a quick walk through of a feature, or have a question, start there.
5 Tips for Getting The Most Out of Roompact’s Software

- Leave personal notes. Using the search bar at the top of your screen, you can look up individual residents and leave notes on them that can help you recall your interactions later. When you meet your residents for the first time, you may want to leave a note with personal information you want to remember about them (their hometown, birthdate, pet names, etc.). This can help you better connect with your residents later.
- Encourage Roommate and Suitemate Agreement completion. If your school utilizes our Agreements feature, you can check on the completion progress on your floor. Do this regularly at the start of the year to make sure residents take the time to discuss their living situation with their roommates and/or suitemates. Being proactive about this now can help head off arguments in the future, or give you a tool to help with mediations.
- Set aside time to complete administrative tasks. You may be asked to complete a number of forms throughout the week. Schedule time to complete these and block them in your calendar. This will ensure you can stay on top of your tasks.
- Communicate with your floor. With the Message Center, you can send communications to just your floor. All you have to do is type the floor name in the “To:” field and it will send it to all your current residents. You can also type a suite number, room number, or individual name. If your school has it enabled, you may also be able to send text messages. Make sure you check with your supervisor before sending text messages as some schools reserve this for only the most important and urgent messages.
Get Engaged Through Contests
Roompact runs three contests for student staff every year. It’s free to enter and you can win prizes. Aw an added benefit, past submissions become a future resource for your own work!
